| RIYADH METRO ON SCHEDULE, TO START OPERATION IN 2019 |

The Riyadh metro project, one of the world's largest urban transport ventures, aims to lift up to 3 million commuters off the road to relieve traffic congestion, officials from the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh announced at a press conference at Alstom's manufacturing facilities here.
"We are on schedule. We reached 48% completion and we believe the metro will start operating by early 2019 with no delay," said Khalid Alhazani, director of the architectural project program and public affairs at Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA)

| Italian wooden furniture sector making significant inroads in the Middle East market |

Sales of wooden furniture to China rose 22.8% in the first eight months of 2016 compared to the same period last year to reach a total of more than €240 million, the latest figures from the FLA sector association showed.
Also in the Middle East, initiatives and partnerships are being considered to launch a more structured presence of wooden "Made in Italy" furniture in countries such as the Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
